Cultivating Land, Sustaining Life-Environmental Regeneration in Shakahola

1). The National Government, through its local administrative arm, has benefited from the project’s Community Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Together with community members, we have built the first administrative office in Shakahola, restoring governance structures and bringing essential services closer to the people.
2). The Kilifi County Government has been a key partner from the project’s inception—guiding compliance processes and supporting the prototype phase, which achieved a successful harvest by the end of 2024. The county continues to facilitate permits and infrastructure development in alignment with the project’s sustainability goals.
Scaling and Future Expansion
With continued governmental and partner support, the project is poised for regional expansion. This growth will be achieved through collaborative frameworks between Chakama Ranching Company Ltd and the County Government of Kilifi to expand it on a wider area within same locality and ensuring that the model can be replicated across similar landscapes.
